With a Cox Panoramic Wifi Gateway rental, we’ll make sure you have the latest software/firmware on the device. And, when it becomes obsolete, we’ll replace it. If it breaks, we’ll replace it. If you would like to manage your own network, we offer easy tools like the Panoramic Wifi app to help you do that. If you need help, our technical phone support is open 24/7 for assistance. Our professional installation includes a wifi signal strength assessment to ensure full wall-to-wall coverage, identification of any dead zones and recommendations for the best solution.

The Panoramic Wifi Gateway is only available for a monthly rental fee to our customers. This ensures that we have the capability to upgrade the software and firmware on these devices to add functionality and protect and manage devices connected to our network. This also ensures that as technology evolves, we are able to ensure our customers receive the newest and best devices in their home.

Dead zones refer to areas within a Wifi network where signal is unreliable or absent. They can be minimized or eliminated by placing your router in an unobstructed location such as on top of high furniture or "line of sight" locations. In instances where obstructions can't be avoided, such as between floors or around walls in large square-foot homes, Panoramic Wifi Pods can reduce or eliminate in-home dead zones so you have consistently fast Wifi coverage throughout the house.

Our Panoramic Wifi Gateway is only available for rental. This ensures that all of our customers receive the latest, top-end equipment and ensures they do not get “locked in” to a device when technology changes. You may provide your own modem, wifi router or combination device (click here for a list of supported devices). However, we will not be able to provide any support for your home network unless you rent the Panoramic Wifi Gateway. This allows us to provide the best experience and support possible to our wifi customers.

The Cox Homelife mobile app and Touchscreen Control Panel (Security package) make it easy to control all your Homelife devices and services whether you’re at home or away. Through the Cox Homelife mobile app, you can set your alarm system, view camera feeds, and control all your connected devices from virtually anywhere. You can download the Homelife mobile app free from your Apple or Google Play app store.

Homelife Security customers can also use their Homelife Touchscreen Control Panel to set their alarm system, communicate with emergency response teams, view video feeds, and monitor and control their connected devices.

Yes, the Homelife mobile app can be used by anyone in the home who has been given your Homelife username and password. There is no limit to the amount of mobile devices or tablets you can use to monitor and control your Homelife system.

Cox Homelife offers a variety of smart devices that can be connected to your Homelife system including HD cameras, Smart Door Locks, Smart LED Light Bulbs, Smart Plugs, and more. Cox Homelife cameras allow you to monitor your home from virtually anywhere, anytime. With Homelife cameras, you can view live video clips, take pictures, and set Rules to record video when system events occur, such as the front door opening or when your alarm status changes. You can also have pictures and video clips emailed to you directly whenever Rules or other system events are activated. Any pictures or video clips you capture can be viewed via the Homelife mobile app and saved directly to your device.

Cox Homelife Security relies on a private, secure LocalArea Network (LAN) and ZigBee technology to monitor and control all your Homelife services and devices. Each Homelife Security system is equipped with a unique Homelife security router, which uses your home WiFi to create a unique LAN for your Homelife system. Every Homelife device you have in your home will connect to your Homelife network. This extra layer of security is designed to keep your devices safe and secure from outside interference and intrusion.

Every Homelife customer has their system professionally installed by one of our trusted, expert technicians. Timely, respectful of your home, and offering world-class workmanship, Homelife technicians are there to ensure your installation experience is quick and easy. Your technician will also provide a complete walkthrough of your Homelife system so that you know exactly what you’re getting, how your Homelife system works, and how you can use Homelife to make your home safer, smarter and more efficient.

You will need a Wireless 4K Contour Stream Player and a Panoramic Wifi Gateway from Cox.

There are no live TV channels included. If you are interested in live TV channels including broadcast channels like ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS or cable channels like ESPN, HGTV and HBO, shop Contour TV plans with your favorite channels included. You can still select the Contour Stream Player device as you complete your order so that you can stream apps like Netflix and Prime Video as well.
